Yes, 3 little ladies, but major RAMPAGE through Chinatown.
As one of the threesome, I have to admit that when my own Mother had brought me to Pearl Centre when I was young (and ignorant), I had sniffed proudly and declared (not audibly to Mother, but loudly enough in my heart) that this is so uncool. Me own Mother should have seen us today - zipping inandout (in and out in extremely rapid motion) of shops that boast of trillions of multi-colored crystals, beads of every shape, size and use, every sort of tool and knick-knacks imaginable! Except for the shop-owner, and a few straggling bored-boyfrens, everyone was WOMEN in the shops.
We 3 of us debated fierecely with one another and with our own inner voices which color combinations would be most matching, which little steel wires/hooks/chains we need. Our inspiration tells us to buy 90% of what we lay our eyes on. What's pulling us back is our mental calculator of how much it'd all cost. Did I mention that mid-way through, I and S felt ravenous - and promptly agreed that shopping can be strenuous. Even the comforting thought that the government has kindly dispensed some money into our bank accounts dissipated somewhat. (We have been taking quiet comfort in that thought for a couple of dresses/tops/miscellaneous items we bought recently.)
Anyhow, here's the stuff I bought and happily stashed into the cute box with small compartments. Shall get L and S to post pics of their steals too. Here's a toast to girlfriends!
